Homily by Fr Wolfgang Seitz ORC

Fr. Wolfgang Seitz ORC is originally from Germany. He is a member of the Order of Canons Regular of the Holy Cross, an international Order which has its Motherhouse in Tirol, Austria. The Order has the overall direction of the international apostolate Opus Sanctorum Angelorum (Work of the Holy Angels) a public association of the faithful approved by the Holy See. Its mission is to spread devotion to the holy angels and a conscious collaboration with them in our daily lives and dealings.

Fr. Seitz studied at the seminary of the Order Institutum Sapientiae in Anapolis Brazil after which he was ordained a priest in 2002. His first mission after ordination was to Detroit for a pastoral year at Assumption Grotto Parish. Thereafter he has been giving retreats and conferences throughout the United States. He also served several years as superior of the community in the US and as national director of the Opus Angelorum apostolate.

Conference 4: The Early Mariology of Leo XIV in Light of the Classic Mariology of Pope Leo XIII

Dr Mark Miravalle

Dr. Mark Miravalle earned his Sacred Theological Doctorate at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome. He holds the Saint John Paul II Chair of Mariology at Franciscan University of Steubenville where he has been teaching since 1986.

Dr. Miravalle is the founder and senior editor of Ecce Mater Tua, an international journal of Mariology research. He is also president of the International Marian Association comprised of more than 130 theologians, bishops, clergy and laity worldwide who seek to promote Marian devotion and doctrine.

Well known throughout the world for his lectures on Mariology, Dr. Miravalle has addressed several episcopal conferences including those of South India, Nigeria, Venezuela and Costa Rica. He has also assisted bishops with preliminary investigations into reported apparitions.

Dr. Miravalle has spoken at numerous international conferences and has appeared on EWTN, National Public Radio, BBC, Fox News and as a frequent contributor on Relevant Radio, Catholic Radio. Dr. Miravalle is the author and editor of over 20 books in Mariology and Spiritual Theology including his most recent works, Meet Your Mother: An Introduction to Mary Meet Your Spiritual Father: An Introduction to St. Joseph Time to Meet the Angels and Jesus In You: The Indwelling Trinity in the Souls of the Just.

Conference 5: The Liturgical Celebration of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Fatima’s Message

Dom Charbel Pazat de Lys, (OSB Le Barroux)

Father Charbel, a Benedictine monk from the Abbey of Le Barroux, was born in Madrid in 1967. He entered the monastery 40 years ago and began studying liturgy at the monastery in 1994 the year of his priestly ordination.

Later in two separate periods, he completed his licentiate and doctorate at the Pontifical Liturgical Institute where he taught last semester. He is the author of various lectures and articles and the title of his thesis was: Essay on Eucologic Anthropology. The human being in body and soul according to the prayers of the Roman Missal of 1962.

Conference 7: Devotion and Consecration to the Immaculate Heart from a Spiritual Perspective: the Notion and Experience of the ‘Presence of Mary’ as the Most Perfect Disposition to Love God

Fr Etienne Richer 

Born in Poitiers (France) in 1960, Fr. Étienne RICHER is a Brother of the Community of the Beatitudes since 1985 and a priest since 1992. He founded the Community in Czechoslovakia in 1991. He has taken on various local and provincial responsibilities within his community and was Assistant General from 2005 to 2010. He holds a doctorate in spiritual theology (Teresianum, Roma, 2004) and in canon law (Toulouse, France, 2016) and is currently Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Canon Law at the Institut Catholique de Toulouse (France) while continuing to teach theology. He is Director of the Bulletin de Littérature Ecclésiastique (university journal of the Institut Catholique de Toulouse) and President of the Société Française d’Études Mariales (SFEM) since autumn 2029. He devoted his doctoral thesis in spiritual theology to the doctrine of Saint Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort which led him to take a keen interest in Marian theology.

Conference 8: Devotion and Consecration to the Immaculate Heart in the Message of Fatima

Fr Stefano Maria Manelli

Father Stefano Maria Manelli was born in Fiume/Rijeka (Croatia) on 1 May 1933, the sixth of 21 children, to two servants of God spiritually guided by Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, Settimio Manelli and Licia Gualandris. The process of beatification for the latter was officially opened on 20 December 2010. He received his First Communion from Saint Pio in 1938. He entered the minor seminary of the Friars Minor Conventual in Copertino (Lecce) on 8 December 1945 at the age of 12. He was ordained a priest on 30 October 1955, the Solemnity of Christ the King. In 1960, he graduated in Sacred Theology, defending his doctoral thesis on the Immaculate Conception (patristics, Mariology) in the Pontifical Theological Faculty “Seraphicum” (Rome). He was a professor of theology in the Order’s seminaries, at the Archdiocesan Seminary of Benevento and at the Institute of Religious Sciences in Avellino. He was prefect of studies for the Conventual Province of Naples.

Father Stefano M. Manelli promoted a revival of both Franciscan life closer to its origins and inspired by the Marian nature of Saint Maximilian M. Kolbe, founding the Family of the Franciscans of the Immaculate and of Mariology, deepening its study of every aspect (patristic, biblical, liturgical, dogmatic, apologetic), organising international Mariological symposia in Italy and abroad (including in England and Fatima). In particular, Father Stefano, also with the collaboration of experts and eminent theologians, breathed new life into the co-redemptive Mariological movement, offering annual studies and scholarly works focused on the mystery of the Immaculate Co-redemptrix.

Alongside his work as a founder and educator, he has always been a prolific writer. Numerous books have been published around the world, ranging from the most spiritual to those of profound theology. He has also published numerous articles of various kinds in magazines and series.

Conference 9: St. Joseph as Model of Perfect Devotion and Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Prof. Vincenzo Tamma

Vincenzo Tamma holds a personal chair professorship in Physics and Quantum Technology and is the Founding Director of the Quantum Science and Technology Hub at the University of Portsmouth (UoP) including academic staff across different disciplines as well as outstanding collaborators across the world. He is internationally recognised a leader in quantum optics and quantum technologies.

He held national and international prestigious roles as a panel member and project reviewer for funding agencies, regular referee for high-impact journals, editor, invited external examiner and chair for international conferences. His research on quantum multi-particle interferometry has been triggering experiments worldwide and has boosted novel approaches to quantum computing and quantum sensing with available experimental resources.

He has led international collaborations across three continents including numerous impactful publications and several press highlights.

He is also active in work at the intersection between science and faith as member of the Dialogue with Sectors Board at the Catholic Diocese of Portsmouth (recently organized symposiums: “Science and Religion” “Politics and Religion” “What Does It Mean to Be Human? Medical Ethics and Social Care Today.”) and Fellow at the Advanced School for Interdisciplinary Research, University of the Holy Cross in Rome.

He has been organising widely attended public talks featuring leading scientists from various disciplines, international conferences as well as delivering about 100 invited lectures and public talks at prestigious conferences and research institutions across Europe, North and South America and Asia with numerous extended academic visits worldwide.

Conference 10: Entering the ‘Ark of Mary’: the Message of Fatima, Blessed Alexandrina and St Maximilian M. Kolb

Dr. Pedro Sinde

Dr. Pedro Sinde is an expert on the Message of Fatima. Librarian of the Franciscan Servants Repairers of the Sacramental Jesus. Pedro Sinde was born in Porto (Portugal). He has a degree in Philosophy. Has taught philosophy and psychology, was chief librarian of the University of Porto Faculty of Sports and little the and Mirandela Municipal Library. He is currently the Librarian-Archivist for the Congregation of the Franciscan Servants Repairers of the Sacramental Jesus and a member of the Historical Commission for the Cause of Beatification and Canonization of the Servant of God Sister Mary of Saint John the Evangelist.

Among the books he has published are the following titles in Portuguese: The song of the beings (2008) Seven Portuguese Sages (2013) Glows of Fatima: thinking the message (2017) Glows from the tabernacle: the little way to the presence of God (2021).
